Autism Group Demands Apology from CBS for Autism Remark….Adam!
February 19, 2008
As if Adam could dig a deeper hole for himself and have more people NOT like him… his remark last week about the group of “retards” that he works with back home has drawn the ire of many viewers and even non-viewers of Big Brother 9. Let’s just say that even if Adam was telling the truth about being a part of an autism foundation before coming into the BB House, he will definitely not be welcome to return once he’s out. I think these groups have every right to demand an apology. I do think , however, that they should remember what they are dealing with: a reality show that lets the contestants pretty much do whatever they want. Now, yes, CBS could have chosen to NOT air that portion of Adam’s remarks, so there is room for an interesting debate on broadcasters’ responsibilities and freedom of speech. Tell us what you think in the comments.

I’m a big fan of the show but will not be a supporter of the show any longer!!! If CBS/ Big brother does not do something about Adam’s comment about Autism. My son has Autism and how dare they air that comment!!!!!!!!!!! They had better think about what they decide to air on national tv. My other children were upset that this guy put their brother down!
I think what Adam said was horrible !!!! And earlier tonight on Big Brother after dark the way he and Ryan were yelling in the HOH room @ James showed their true colors this years house guest are all horrible I think Sharon is about the best but I still don”t like all of their tatics !!!! Margie
